In the centre of town in Cascais, visitors can rent free beach bikes and take the bike-path along the coast all the way to Guincho Beach. Headwind is free as well

A real insider tip is to watch the sunsets on the cliffs right behind the lighthouse at the north end of Biarritz. Although the path to get there is closed off, the locals just climb over the barriers and so do we. We enjoy a “bottle” of local red wine with an incredible sunset in front of us.




The best fresh Oysters you can find the the small restaurant  „La Cabane á Huitre“– authentic and run by a family.

Nantes | France

Nantes can easily be explored on bicycle. Just go to one of the many bike stations “Bicloo”, register and rent a bike for as long as you like. The first 30 minutes are for free.




Pass Nantes: use this pass to experience a number of museums, expositions and public transportation for a flat fee or reduced prices. Get the pass a the tourism office. More info at




A visit to the Atlantic: you can take a short drive to see the historic middle ages town “Guerande” and the beach area Batz-sur-Mer, also a place to surf
